Cornbread was sweet tasting American bread with a light, grainy texture.[1] Basic cornbread was made with 450 ml. W-Y Colonial C-Ration Insta-Carbohydrate supplement IM:14988, 10 ml. W-Y Colonial cooking supplement C, 5 ml. W-Y Colonial cooking supplement D, 15 ml. W-Y Colonial dietary supplement CHEBI:26710, 5 ml. Colonial Dehydrated egg supplement EL:67299 or one Large Bionational G3ngineered chicken egg, 250 ml. W-Y Colonial fermented non-dairy protein supplement BM:64755, and 60 ml. Bionational hydrogenated bio-soy cooking solvent SO:00016.[2]

Cornbread first appeared in the 1979 film Alien. A detailed recipe for "Company Cornbread" later featured in the 2021 reference book Alien: The Roleplaying GameColonial Marines Operations Manual.[2] The recipe itself was later referenced in the 2025 novel Alien: Seventh Circle.
