A colony ship was a type of starship used to transport humans and equipment for the purpose of terraforming and colonizing extrasolar worlds. Types of colony ship included the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's Model CY78.3 Affiance-class U extended range colony ship, Lock-Mart Industries' Model TB22C Borrowdale-class R Modular Colonial Transfer Vehicle, and Lockmart and Welsun's Type 3300B Deucalion-class X expedition colony carrier
