Subject 465, better known as Chester the Cat, was a genetically modified ginger housecat kept aboard the USCSS Theseus. Chester was created by Dr. Hallbury in secret as a scientific project of his, the rest of the crew believed him to be merely a normal cat.
Chester was involved in a Xenomorph XX121 outbreak aboard the Theseus, during which he notably hunted and killed a Facehugger.
Behind the Scenes[]
Chester is ostensibly based on Jonesy from the original 1979 Alien film (and its 1986 sequel, Aliens), both being ginger housecats with green eyes that are kept onboard a Weyland-Yutani starship. He was available as an exclusive bonus miniature given away for free to people who pre-ordered either the Hellhound or Female Predator UniCast miniature(s), being released on the 13th of October, 2018.
With the announcement of the figures on the 25th of September, Prodos Games also announced a community contest for fans to design a game mode or mission centred around Chester to be produced into a ruleset by their design team. The winners would receive one the three faction-specific bundles for free, with runner-ups also receiving other prizes.[1] The winning ideas were then used to create the AvP: The Cat Begins game mode, the ruleset for which was available for free download on the Prodos Games website.[2]
