- "How should I know? I'm just a glorified accountant."
"Bull I grew up with power-brokers, so I know one when I see one. You're a major player, Beliveau" - ―Beliveau and Lt. Henry (from Aliens: Colonial Marines)
Beliveau was an executive of Alphatech Hardware. He was sent by Alphatech to investigate the loss of one of their deep space communication array. He was executed by his chief of security Vormitag.
Biography[]
When Alphatech lost contact with their deep space communication array and research station, they tasked Beliveau to inquire on the situation. He eventually found out that the two stations were taken over by an extremist cult under the guidance of "The Father" that he would go on to suspect to be either a USCM Major named Alan Bradshaw, or the scientist Paul Church. To push his investigation further, he hauled a USCM military frigate, the USS Melville, under the false pretence to convoy toxic waste to their Waste Disposal Facility "SunGun" and personnel for their comm array. After reaching Frontier Mobile Base 82 where the Melville was stationed, he met with Lt. Joseph Henry and his second-in-command Sgt. Nyland before going into hypersleep until reaching SunGun.
Mission in SunGun[]
- "Splitting your team--I don't like it.."
"You don't have to like it. This isn't military, Lieutenant. It's commerce. Soon we'll know what the problem is, and then I can start firing people." - ―Lt. Henry and Beliveau (from Aliens: Colonial Marines)
Once arriving in the SunGun vicinity, Beliveau was summoned by Henry on the bridge after being unable to reach the station. He ordered his security chief Vormitag to investigate the blackout with his team, dismissing Henry's request to field his marines. After the Melville lost contact with the security team, Beliveau tried to object Henry's decision to awaken the Marines, but Henry was adamant. Unbeknownst to the crew, Liston, a special security synthetic was secretly assigned to the Melville by the military to keep an eye on Beliveau and Alphatech's whereabouts. Belivaeu subsequently attempted to get Liston to intervene in the SunGun skirmish, but ultimately failed. Henry and the squad eventually return to the Melville, alongside Vormitag as the sole survivor of his security team and a Bug-Man as prisoner. Beliveau attempted to interrogate their new captive but he was unsuccessful, receiving only fanatical sermons.
Stopover to Bracken's World[]
- "Major Bradshaw must be protected at all costs!."
" What are you talking about? What are you talking about we're here to protect ourselves and Alphatech, not that maniac!" - ―Vormitag and Beliveau (from Aliens: Colonial Marines)
After the mission on the SunGun, Henry planned to dump Beliveau and Vormitag on Bracken's World. While monitering a terminal, he was aggressively confronted by Henry who encountered Bug-Men armed with Alphatech weapons in a Alphatech listing post and asked for an answer. Belivaeau feigned and retorted by telling Henry to check his "own backyard", referring to Liston's true directives. As Henry left, Beliveau deleted the files about Church to concentrate on Bradshaw after Henry departure. After the Marines rid Bracken's World of the Xenomorph menace, Beliveau approached Henry to convince him to himself and Vormitag with them. After Henry initially refused, he appealed to him with the promises of information on his mission, a decision that triggered an argument with Vormitag after Henry left.
Death[]
- "As I was saying... The stucture of the research station is relatively standard. It was specifically constructed for a bio-engineering project concerning the use of--."
- ―Beliveau's final words. (from Aliens: Colonial Marines)
The Melville's sudden destruction gave Beliveau an advantage, as the Marines were now stranded without any FTL-capable ship, while he had one stored in an automated mining facility on Bracken's World's moon, Joliet, after transforming the mining facility into a weapons cache two years prior. Once on site, Beliveau defused a fight between Nyland, Chen and the facility steward and supervised the weapons loading in the APC before evacuating with the Marines after the steward's sacrifice. After evacuating Joliet while they were in route to Alphatech research station, Beliveau summoned everyone to explain to the Marines the situation, as promised to Henry, but the explanation ran short when Vormitag, in total Royal Jelly withdrawal, executed him with a bullet straight to the head, before the latter was blunted to death by Rosemas, also in withdrawal.
Personality and Traits[]
Beliveau was very cunning and elusive, always trying to evade questions and manipulating Henry to allow him and Vormitag to accompany the squad. He was also highly intelligent, successfully deciphering Liston's true nature.
