Batty was a character cut from Prometheus.[1] He was originally going to be part of Peter Weyland's security team accompanying him in "secret cryostasis" aboard the USCSS Prometheus,[1] and was likely to be killed near the end of the film.
Equipment
Batty was to be armed with a compact version of the M41A Pulse Rifle, featuring a 95-round drum magazine and vertical forward grip.[1] However, like the character, the weapon was also cut from the film[1] (although the M39 Submachine Gun from the 2013 video game Aliens: Colonial Marines is similar in concept). He was also equipped with Weyland Corp equipment.

A costume study of Batty was created by Prometheus senior concept artist Ben Procter.[1] The face of Batty in the costume study appears to be based on Rutger Hauer's, which is a reference to Hauer's role in the 1982 film Blade Runner (directed by Prometheus director Ridley Scott) — Roy Batty.[1]
