AvP: Annihilation is an upcoming novel by John Shirley set to by published by Titan Books.
Behind the scenes[]
While Titan Books never released an official solicitation for the novel, its title, AvP: Annihilation, was only ever included on Titan's the Complete Alien Library page in Alien 3: The Unproduced First-Draft Screenplay by Pat Cadigan. After the titles only appearance as an upcoming release in Pat Cadigan's Alien 3, it had not been mentioned in any subsequent releases while the next AVP novel to be solicited was Aliens vs. Predators: Rift War that was ultimately released in August of 2022. Additionally, the title AvP: Annihilation does not reflect whether the novel would have been an "Aliens vs. Predators" release, as "AvP" is an uncommon title for a novel release within the Alien vs. Predator franchise.
During a panel interview, director Shinji Aramaki confirmed that the unreleased Aliens: Vs Predator anime series was similarly entitled with the name Aliens vs Predator: Annihilation.[1]
