Armat Battlefield Systems, often shortened to Armat, was an American firearms manufacturer. Based in Saginaw, Michigan, Armat produced a variety of weapon systems predominantly focusing on military-grade small arms, and also manufactured a range of associated equipment including grenades, helmets, body armor, and mines. Armat was the only major defense contractor in the United Americas, and supplied most of the weapons used by the United States Colonial Marine Corps.

In 2178, Armat purchased the German weapon manufacturer Kramer Metallarbeiten GmBH after it became a threat in the mercenary and private military contractor market; however, the buyout was contested for almost a decade in the antitrust courts of the Three World Empire, and thus took until 2187 to complete.

Some of Armat's major products included the M41A Pulse Rifle and the M4 pistol series, both issued as standard equipment to the Colonial Marines, and the prototype XM99A Phased Plasma Pulse Rifle.
