Research Station #2378 was an Alphatech Hardware-owned research station orbiting the star HD 122303 in the outer reaches of the Cerberus Sector on the Frontier.
Overview[]
Located in the outer reaches of the Cerberus Sector on the Frontier and placed in orbit around the star HD 122303, Alphatech Research Station #2378 was constructed for an unspecified bio-engineering project. In reality, however, it was created to conduct experiments on the Xenomorph species.[1]
History[]
After the Alphatech Communication Array was captured by mutant extremist Ernst Kleist and his Bug-Men, Alphatech Research Station #2378 was also attacked and fell into their hands, with all members of personnel on the station either killed or harvested. Shortly after, United States Colonial Marine Corps Lieutenant Joseph Henry and his team debarked at the station to download information concerning research being conducted on the station and the events surrounding it. A Bug-Man stationed in the control room remotely hijacked the systems of the Marines' assault craft, allowing several Xenomorphs on board to retrieve the unconscious Bug-Woman inside. USCM member Sergeant Nyland allowed the assault craft to leave by killing the Bug-Man and stopping the power drain but at the cost of her life, leaving the station at the mercy of the Xenomorphs.[1]
