Aliens: Cargo is a two-part comic book short story that was first published by Dark Horse Comics in the company's self-titled anthology series Dark Horse Comics #15-16, from November-December 1993. It was written by Dan Jolley, pencilled by John Nadeau, inked by Terry Pallot, colored by Jim Sinclair, lettered by Clem Robins, and edited by Dan Thorsland.

In Dark Horse's Aliens comics line, Aliens: Cargo was preceded by Aliens: Backsplash, published concurrently with Aliens: Colonial Marines, Aliens: Earth Angel, Aliens: Crusade, Aliens: Labyrinth and Aliens: Salvation, and was followed by Aliens: Alien, Aliens: Music of the Spears and Operation: Aliens.

Publisher's Summary[]

#15: Gerald Coile was a smuggler of Alien products — Royal Jelly, Xeno-Zip, and... other "things." It was a lucrative occupation, but without retirement benefits, so he arranged his own retirement benefits via the Drug Enforcement Agency. In part 1 of "Aliens: Cargo," he discovers that such a plan definitely has a down side.

#16: Also, "Aliens: Cargo" concludes in this issue with part 2 as Coile realizes being trapped with an Alien isn't as bad as he thought — after all, he has his wits and a five-minute head start. What more do you need when you're faced with the universe's most voracious and hungry Xenomorph?
