Alien: The Official Poster Magazine of the Year's Most Terrifying Movie No.2 is a 1979 official poster magazine for the 1979 film Alien (presumably) by Felden Productions, published by Paradise Press and packaged by H. Bunch Associates and is the second issue (and presumably last [see below]) in the Alien: The Official Poster Magazine of the Year's Most Terryinfing Movie series (the first being Alien: The Official Poster Magazine of the Year's Most Terrifying Movie No.1).

Overview

Cover

Alien pm 01 and 02

The Alien Production File article.[2]

Alien pm back page

The back of the cover.[2]

The top of the cover reads "FULL-COLOR POSTER INSIDE" on the left corner, "K48837" to the right of that, "ISBN-0-931550-50-5" to the right of that and "No.2 $1.50" to the right of that. Below that, the cover reads "ALIEN THE OFFICIAL POSTER MAGAZINE OF THE YEAR'S MOST TERRIFYING MOVIE" and features a behind the scenes image of the Alien from the film. Below the picture, both articles inside the magazine are listed ("THE ALIEN PRODUCTION FILE" and "THE MYSTERY OF THE DERELICT").

Inside

Inside, the poster magazine features two articles; "The Alien Production File" which is on the first two pages which are revealed by simply opening the magazine and "The Mystery of the Derelict" which is revealed by opening the magazine (revealing "The Alien Production File" article) and folding "The Alien Production File" pages down. Completely unfolding the magazine will reveal a poster of the derelict ship on LV-426 (which strangely has an orange sky and orange rocks) on the top and a poster of the USCSS Nostromo also on LV-426 (which again has an orange sky and rocks) on the bottom.

Back

The back of the magazine features six photos detailing the Nostromo set from the film and "STARSHIP NOSTROMO" below them with the description "Interior shot from various levels of the factory starship, Nostromo. Note the superb attention to detail in these set, from the functional design of the food & drink dispenser hatch to the print out on the video display unit." below that.

Third Poster Magazine

According to Alien: The Official Poster Magazine to the Year's Most Terrifying Movie No.1, Felden Productions was "working on permission to run a full size poster of the Alien either in issue 2 or 3". However no issue three is known to exist and issue two featured a poster of the derelict and the Nostromo.
