Alien: Covenant x Audi lunar quattro is a 2017 short film starring Uli Latukefu. Created as part of the viral marketing campaign for Alien: Covenant, the film is a tie-in advertisement with car manufacturer Audi featuring the company's lunar quattro rover, which briefly appears in Alien: Covenant.
Plot[]
In the Covenant's Terraforming Bay, the ship's Audi lunar rover detects an unidentified lifeform reading and goes in search of the culprit. Along the way, it discovers an amount of unidentified slime dripping from overhead. Continuing its search, it draws closer and closer to the unidentified reading, which is finally revealed to be Cole, working on one of the vehicles. Asking what the rover is doing following him around, Cole calls it to follow him back to storage. As they leave, a Praetomorph Stalker emerges from the shadows across the room behind them.

Release[]
The video was originally released on April 27, 2017 through YouTube,[1] linked to the viral marketing campaign for Alien: Covenant.
Behind the scenes[]
The video is notable in that, unlike the majority of the promotional short films created for Alien: Covenant, the events it depicts are incongruous with the film, and thus it clearly cannot exist within the same continuity—most obviously, it shows a Praetomorph on the Covenant stalking Cole, who dies on Planet 4 long before the Praetomorph gets loose aboard the colony ship. In this respect, it is similar to the short film She Won't Go Quietly, which likewise depicts events that contradict the continuity of the feature film.
