Alien: 35th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray cover.
Alien: 35th Anniversary Edition is a 2014 Blu-ray containing both the original 1979 theatrical cut and the 2003 Director's Cut of Alien in high-definition, along with a digital copy of the film and several bonus features, plus exclusive merchandise and memorabilia. Essentially, the single disc is simply the first disc from the 2010 Alien Anthology Blu-ray set released as a separate package. As such, it contains the same bonus features, with the exception of the Alien Anthology's MU-TH-UR Mode interactive experience and corresponding Weyland-Yutani Datastream. It was released only in the United States.
The Blu-ray was released on October 7, 2014 in the US and Canada.[1]
