Alan David Purwin (August 28, 1961 – September 11, 2015) was an American helicopter pilot, aerial film operator, entrepreneur and philanthropist who played an unnamed pilot in the 1990 film Predator 2, although he was not credited for this role. Purwin contributed heavily to the aerial cinematography industry and has assisted in the filming of hundreds of Hollywood movies such as Pearl Harbor (2001), the Pirates of the Caribbean film series (2003-) and the Transformers film series (2007-).

Purwin was one of two killed on September 11, 2015 in a plane crash in Medellin, Colombia, during the shooting of the film American Made (2017). The incident — which was later attributed to bad weather — also claimed the life of fellow pilot Carlos Berl, while another pilot Jimmy Lee Garland survived albeit seriously wounded. Purwin is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Hollywood Hills.
