Pretty interesting campaign with a pretty good set up vibe, but it has issues

This Campaigns level design is great with interesting atmosphere that over the campaign shifts more and more into a horror like atmosphere and I like it alot and feels unique among the campaigns.
The game also introduces 4 new enemy types with all of them being pretty cool additions.
It introduces a new Faction in the Pathogen which adds 3 new enemies, Poppers swarm players and explode and are hinted at possibly being somewhat related to the Rat-X from the books just without Spider DNA, Pathogen Infected Humans which are honestly pretty intimidating not being too tough but come in Swarms and deal alot of damage, and 1 boss for the Pathogen in the Stalker which are the same species as the Leon-895 from the book and can Cloak and pounce enemies making for a interesting boss fight dynamic.
It also introduces 1 new Xenomorph enemy in the form of the Crusher which is a boss level enemy that is near indestructible head on but can be taken down by teaming up with teammates to damage the giant Xenomorph from behind while someone else distracts it.
And finally the last levels ending is my favorite so far, it does somewhat boil down to the usual but it also involves you destroying the ships cores which was a pretty cool way to end the campaign off with.
Now for the Dislikes:
The levels lose the random split decision mechanic which is really unfortunate because I really enjoyed that aspect of the second campaign.
And my biggest issue is the use of Pathogen Enemies, or the lack thereof, once again similar to Monica they constrict their appearance to a single mission which I really hate, it's annoying when they introduce cool stuff only to limit it and we never see it again, granted yes the Leon's are hinted at in mission 2 and the Poppers are visually seen but even if you attack them they don't do anything and are purely cosmetic which is a massive shame, I was really hoping they'd intervene near the end of the second mission with you fighting off a wave of Xenomorphs but it shifts to the Pathogen coming at you but that never happens.
Another issue is the lack of variety in the Pathogen faction, there's only 3 enemies 2 of which are fodder type enemies and 1 is a boss, I was really hoping for some special type enemies and maybe a appearance from the Rat-X would have been pretty cool but unfortunately that never happens which is a shame.
Overall I'd say it's a downgrade from the previous campaign but it is still pretty cool with alot of interesting and cool ideas such as the descent into a horror atmosphere as the levels go on and the Pathogen are a very cool idea, just implemented wrong
Although I will say the Crusher is arguably my favorite Xenomorph Boss so far competing with Monica although I lean towards Crusher since they appear for more than 1 mission
